What happened. I’ve been here before for the all you can eat catfish it was ok so my 3rd time I ordered chicken fried steak and I’m sorry I knew something was wrong when I was cutting into it. Definitely had an odd odor but didn’t think much until I tasted it. With plenty of salt n pepper still tasted funny so I asked my boyfriend to taste and he took a bite and spit it right out. He state’s no wonder why the other table behind us left theirs on their plate! I discussed this with TJs and they refunded my meal, but I’m concerned about not getting sick from this chicken!
My family and I have been thru their drive thru on a number of occasions in the past 12 months. The food has been acceptable in the past. Nothing to jump up and down about. But defiantly acceptable. Today I decided to go again. I ordered a Chicken Fried Steak Platter, Chicken Strip Platter, and a Half Rack of Ribs. Pretty much everything except the toast, & green beans was unacceptable! The food tastes as if the grease is old. The ribs was some of the worse I believe I’ve ever tasted. None of my family would take a second bite of them. Not sure whats going on. But it needs to get fixed quickly if they plan to keep the parking lot filled.
It was good not great. Well worth it if your close by but not a DESTINATION spot.
A/p. Stopped in there for the first time and it was awesome! Definately stopping in again the next time im in town!. Burgers are awesome! My daughter also ordered a burger and my son ordered the chicken strips. My daughter thought the burger was amazing then she tasted the chicken strips..She said next time it was going to be a tough choice on what she would get, because the strips were amazing too! crispy on the outside and tender and juicy/moist on the inside. I highly recommend this place and best of all, it is very reasonable!
Good and plenty. Ate lunch there today -cheddar jalapeno burger. burger was good, but the bq sauce i put on was not a good choice -flavor clash. next time with this burger i’d go with mustard or nothing. their 1/3 lb burger seemed more like a 1/2 lb -more than i could eat. fries were just OK. overall, i’d say it was good or very good value, but i’d try their rings next time instead.
Excellent Food and Service. We are locals, previous experiences ( several years ago ) were not good. We came back on a Groupon and had a small issue at the registers. The manager immediately came over and solved it without issue. The food was excellent, the french fries were the largest I’ve ever seen at any restaurant and these were excellent. TJ’s has a large and we diverse menu and I will be back for sure. They have a bar for topping the burgers and it was fresh with anything I could think of. I doubt you will be disappointed and expect you will be very pleasantly surprised.
Okay…. Fried mushrooms and Alien are great!!!! I think the burgers are dry, but my husband loves the monster burger!!! It’s just okay to me. (Teriyaki chicken sandwich, Philly sandwich are pretty good, too)
