I stopped by this location at 290 and Hollister around the tail end of the weekday lunchtime rush. When I walked in, I got Hole in the Wall vibe from the place. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive. I ordered the chicken/sausage gumbo and an order of shrimp etouffee. The food was just OK. Would I return to this restaurant? Probably not. There are other seafood eateries in the vicinity.
A sports bar. But one that does nothing well. Atmosphere is old, dirty. Extensive menu. Obviously beyond this place’s ability to get fresh or to prepare well. Certainly don’t try anything other than just the basic fried foods. But overall just a place to avoid.
Don’t go if you like seafood!. Went to Crazy Cajun’s the Sunday of the NFL Pro Bowl. The waitress was doing multiple jobs. Not her fault she did her job well, just to much work for one person. If it’s this bad upfront how is the back run? I would rate the craw fish a 5 out of 10. The thing that aggravated us was waiting 20 minutes to get butter for the Craw Fish. After a slow start with the craw fish, we then ordered the catfish with shrimp and fries and it was the worst Catfish I have ever had. Three of us ordered it and we all had the same reaction. It tasted the way the coast smells. Very fishy. We all took a couple of bites and left it on our plates. We told the waitress and she said sorry as if she has heard that before. I will admit their fries and shrimp were a 7 out of 10. The four of us on a night out spent over $140.00 in craw fish, 3 plates and a few drinks each. This place is way overpriced has bad service and really bad fish. Also the bathroom smelled horrible.
Crazy that this is still open. When i come to a place like this, where nothing is good – the food, the atmosphere, the service, the drinks – i feel cheated. everything else around this restaurant has failed, and i wish this place would as well because it’s that bad.
Not happy. I did not like the food. It was not fresh. My lettuce was brown, and the ketchup was so old it didn’t even taste like ketchup anymore. I will not be going back. There are better seafood places out there.
