Over the years, I have gone to Lyndons Pit Bar-B-Q mostly for lunch dating back to when they were located around the corner on the 290 feeder. In comparing with the Rudys and the Pappas Bar-B-Q chains on the 290-freeway feeder, I would rate it higher than Pappas Bar-B-Q, but would give a slight nod towards Rudys. Rudys has longer hours and may be larger to support more people. However, being hidden down at 5320 Hollister St, Lyndons would have less of a dinner crowd.

Great place. Each BBQ place usually has something they really excel in. Lyndon is the pulled pork sandwich, real cream corn, and yes black berry cobbler. Now if I can just get them to get Big Red on the soda machine all the planets would be aligned. When order your brisket be sure to specify lean of from the marble side. I prefer the marble.
