Pretty good. As the other reviews have stated, the food is pretty average. It isn’t bad at all. However, I have also been to some of best bbq places in the country (Corky’s in Memphis, Salt Lick in Driftwood, and Pappy’s in STL), so my bbq expectations might be pretty high up there. The ribs were super tender and had good flavor; definitely hit the spot. Brisket and sausage were pretty decent. Potato salad was good, slaw not so much. The jalapeno cheese bread was definitely a plus. Service was also great. Definitely won’t be my last time here.
Average BBQ. If you like average BBQ, then this Is your place! Big Horn really has so much potential, but they better improve their food if they plan on surviving!I wish Pearland had a Goode Compnay, or Pappas BBQ!
Update: we gave it another try and it’s better! The baked beans and loaded mashed potatoes are very good. Turkey and brisket have a good smoke flavor and the decor has held up well. The manager is very nice. Seems like the prices came down a bit. Nice to have it close to home.18 Jul, 2012Definitely not the best BBQ around. Nice inside, but it feels like a cracker barrel gone BBQ. Over priced for what you get.
We love Big Horn BBQ. My family enjoys coming to Big Horn BBQ, love the atmosphere, the owners, and of course the food! I love the fact that they are, close to my home, and now they have music on friday and saturday nights. They have even let my daughter get up and sing with the band on stage, she had a blast and we enjoyed watching lol dinner and a show! We have always been treated well here, except for a couple of time where yes the meat server could have been a little more upbeat and friendly, and the lady that serves the condiments could have had a better attitude, but usually we have a very good experience when we go there. The lady that greets you when you come in couldn’t be any sweeter, she is so nice, and the owners are always out and about checking on things or even serving. We love Big Horn and will continue to come!
Sub standard in almost every categoryLinks were dried out. Brisket was mediocre. Corn must have been simmering for days. Peach cobbler was like eating glue (not that I’ve ever tried to eat glue). Had to beg for more BBQ sauce.Prices are generally 20% higher than other BBQ places in town.
