Quite possibly some of the best flour tortillas out there. Unfortunately, the rest of the meal was pretty average. Queso was on par with Casa Ole. Enchiladas/ beans/ rice were all good, but at the same time nothing you cant get at any other Tex Mex spot in America. The salsa is served warm, so bonus points there. I will try the fajitas and maybe carne guisada before passing final verdict. But, for now, Celaya is not a place I rush out to visit again.

Bad service. Tried out this place a few weeks ago. The first time we went it was about 3pm and we were happy with the food and the service. The second time we went was a Friday night. We were seated quickly but 10 minutes later no one had come by to take our drink order. Another 10 minutes later we get our drinks (a beer and water). We ordered the NASA plate and a fajita dinner. Another 10 minutes goes by and a couple walks in, are seated, and have drinks in about a minute. They order and their plates arrive 5 minutes before ours. The waitress takes care of their check and then just walks by us like we aren’t there. I had to chase her down for the check. We had to send the caso back because it was melted velveta and nothing else. The owner said he was using a new salsa base but what they brought us was just cheese. Seriously I’m a gringo and can make better salsa and caso in my kitchen. They would do better buying jar salsa. Their homemade salsa is warm tomatoes no onions, garlic, cilantro, or peppers. There are a few things going for them. They are crazy cheap. Flour tortillas are freshly made. The main entries were great. May just call in our order from now on and provide our own caso and salsa.

We love it. They probably know us as the Fajitas for two couple since that is what we always order. We just love the place. When we want fajitas we always go to Celaya’s. The waiters and waitresses are all so nice too.

It’s a good middle of the road Mexican place. The staff was really nice and I enjoyed the enchiladas.
