Just moved to Pearland so my first time dining at Kappa, but it was wonderful in every way. They have great lunch specials!
The sushi was average, but the main entre ( I had the Thai spicy chicken & shrimp) was disgusting. I rarely leave reviews, but the food was so nasty I was forced to run to the computer to leave one.
Hidden Gem. My husband and I recently discovered Kappa after living in Pearland for a few years now. We love sushi but haven’t been able to find a really good place in Pearland to get good sushi…until now. The sushi at Kappa is simply amazing. It was so good that we actually visited two days in a row. The Jupiter roll is one of the best rolls that I have ever eaten, it just melts in your mouth. As does their salmon and tuna. We have also tried the Special Rainbow roll, double dragon roll, and the red devil roll and all have been outstanding. We haven’t tried any of their other dishes but plan to do so soon. I wish we had discovered Kappa sooner. It wasn’t until they sent us a menu in the mail that we even knew that they had sushi. We assumed it was just another typical chinese resturant and come to find out, it is a hidden gem!
I used to love this place but the food and service has gone down fast.
Ordered 2 dishes from the Japanese side of the menu. Beef teriyaki was raw and swimming in a cold brown sauce. Shrimp teriyaki was breaded even after we asked if it was sauteed. Ordered chicken lo mein for our son and it had obviously been sitting all day as had the rice. The stinch of all the food was overwhelming. I gagged at the smell. We had 2 California rolls and both were warm – as in had been sitting out. I will never, never, never eat there again. So disgusted.
Just moved to Pearland and this is the second sushi place we have tried and we had it delivered. It was fantastic, the fish was fresh and the selection of rolls were great. We will definitely be getting this on a regular basis.
I went for lunch last week and I thought the food was good and the amount fair for the price. We transferred here 6 months ago and it’s the first non-habachi place I’ve eaten at. I’m planning on taking my husband. Staff very friendly.
