Great donuts and breakfast sandwiches. Nice little patio to dine outside. And if you’ve had your insulin you can get the maple bacon eclair. Ring a ding dong it’s good.

Donuts are a once in a while treat. So if you are going to cheat, I can’t think of a better place than Pena’s for donuts. And they have a full food menu, too. There are a couple of new boutique donut places in Houston. They could learn a lot from driving out to Pearland and trying the donuts at Pena’s. It’s a cool thing to come up with all sorts of crazy icings and toppings. But it is critical that the heart of the creation, the donut itself, be soft, slightly yeasty and moist. And this is where the boutique places I am thinking of, fail. I have had dry and unappealing donuts, or gummy donuts that were no better than grocery store donuts and that is not good. So, for me at least, it’s Shipley’s in Houston or Pena’s in Pearland. On this visit I tried two filled donuts which were coconut cream and lemon curd. There is one thing that would improve the experience. The coffee that they are currently serving tastes bitter and burned, as if the coffee beans were over roasted a lot. And with Pearland Coffee right down the street, I would love for them to consider getting their coffee there as it would be better than what they are currently using, I think. thefriedchickenblog.blogspot.com

Brisket kolache is everything. Really enjoyed the chocolate dosant (cronut?) as well! It’s a busy little spot on weekend mornings but service is fast and food is great.

Bad service. They do not treat all customers equally

Pena’s is a gift to Pearland. If you are going anywhere else for breakfast donuts, kolaches, breakfast tacos, etc, you are wasting your hard earned money. The lunch menu is great as well. A true family run gem!02 Oct, 2011This place is awesome. Such variety, and everything is delicious.27 Feb, 2011A great one stop, breakfast shop!

Great donuts, good breakfast tacos on homemade tortillas. They need a decent salsa to serve with the tacos, what they give out is bland and too tomato-ey.

This place is great!!. My family and I went in to get some donuts, and we were pleasantly surprised to see that the resteraunt offers a full array of breakfast and lunch items. The breakfast tacos are the best I’ve ever had and the burgers aren’t far behind.Check it out.
