Not impressed at all. For the price, I could have gone somewhere else. Over-priced. I had the botana and the fish was not fresh.
Terrible service. The restaurant was holding two events and they were short staffed. We were serviced by 3 different waiters that couldn’t get our simple requests (water) (tortillas) straight because they weren’t on the same page. Our food was cold and the piece of Cabrito we ordered was over-cooked. I have traveled quite a bit and have eaten at many restaurants; this by far has been my worst experience. I left feeling hungry and robbed.
Excellent all the time Gre…. Excellent all the time Great food , great serviceLive music, real Mexico’s atmosphere
Went here to celebrate 38th birthday. Everything here is good. The salsa is the best. We started out with some fideo. It was great. Birthday boy ordered cabrito while I ordered enchiladas. The food was perfect. They even brought him some choco flan on the house since it was his birthday. Great restaurant. It’s pricey
The Best Quality in McAllen. There is no comparison to this restaurant’s Mexican food. The food is fresh and delicious. Try the rib eye tacos, the chorizo and queso appetizer, and teh cabrito tacos. I also had a great steak lunch there for $10.99. You just need to try this place to know what I am talking about.
Ripped off. My fianc purchased two gift certificates to El Pastor that were supposed to be good for one month on July 2, 2012. We used one a couple weeks ago and had an enjoyable meal and good service. However on August 2nd we went again and were given lousy service and were told that the gift certificate was expired because July had 31 days in it. The waiter knew we had the certificate with us, because he looked at as he placed his order book on it to take our order. Had he informed us in advance that the certificate was expired we would have probably eaten there anyway. The dishonesty displayed by the waiter by not being honest with us up front makes me wonder how much dishonesty there really is at this establishment. I know we will never eat there again and I not will recommend it to my worst enemy
This restaurant is AWFUL!!! The food was subpar.. the service was so-so.. I never ever think that food is salty because I am parcial to salty food but oh my god.. I had never PAID for food that was so oversalted!! To top it off.. I got the Mar y Tierra.. the seafood soup deal was what was so salty and the steak was overcooked (despite me specifying medium rare) and did not have any salt AT ALL!! I would not go there again.. I give it one star out of five. Boo!
