Wonderful Evening!. We dined at the Bob’s in Plano last week and had such a wonderful experience! Everyone was so pleasant but our server, Bonnie, was such a star. This was our first visit and she was very helpful from picking apps to the wine. Perfect steaks, perfect sides and perfect evening. We will be back and have recommended Bob’s to our friends.
Nothing Special ….. Went to Bob’s for the first time about three weeks ago. At the end of the day, there was really nothing wrong with anything except that they charge premium prices for an average experience. This is not III Forks, Fogo De Chao or Morton’s. This is a good steak house that is living on a reputation that was established long ago. In my opinion, if you are going to pay the premium dollars and want a great overall experience, there are much better steak houses in the DFW area.
Great restaurant.. We went on October 31 so the restaurant was not too busy. The service was great and the steaks were really good. We both started with the lobster bisque which we both really enjoyed. I had the fillet which was great and my husband had the ribeye which he really enjoyed. We were both too full for desert, but had a great evening.
HORRIBLE WAITRESS!!!. BY FAR THE WORST WAITRESS EXPERIENCE EVER AT A FINE DINING RESTAURANT!!!! We had a small group birthday dinner here, hadn’t seen our friends in a long time. We just got to our table when our waitress, MARIAN came up & asked what kind of drinks we wanted? We barely sat down & took our coats off yet when she asked, so we asked to give us a minute to look over the cocktail menu, we’ll order in a few minutes. She had a straight up ATTITUDE and said Fine! & walked off.?? She DIDN’T RETURN UNTIL 25 MINUTES LATER, RUSHED US ON OUR ORDER & WALKED OFF BEFORE WE WERE EVEN DONE ORDERING! We had to call her back so that we could order our drinks. Throughout the whole night, she SNATCHED THINGS around us, SHOVED THINGS AROUND (i.e. the forks and knives lined up in front of us, she carelessly shoved to the side to put a plate down, and they were piled up on top of each other as one of the forks almost fell of the table, she didn’t even fix it), placed items or HOT ENTREE PLATES CLOSE TO OUR FACES as she was placing them on the table. NEVER POLITE, RUDE THE ENTIRE NIGHT! Not one smile, a very unhappy person. We had desserts and drinks after and carrying our conversations, catching up, she kept interrupting us and kept asking if we were done? We’d say no, 5 min later, are you done? NO! She was rushing us to get out. She stood against the wall in the room tapping her feet, and had her arms folded with a disgusted and annoyed look at us the whole time until we finally left. Didn’t even thank us as we walked passed her to leave. VERY DISAPPOINTED. SHE RUINED THE EXPERIENCE! For a fine dining restaurant, our bill was not cheap! It was a couple hundred dollars as we ordered appetizers, drinks, entrees, and desserts, it was NOT WORTH THE EXPERIENCE. SHE DID NOT DESERVE ANY 20% TIP, if not any tip at all!!!! Needless to say, my friends and I will NOT COME BACK BECAUSE OF OUR HORRIBLE WAITRESS EXPERIENCE!!! I hope Marian’s manager reads this review and counsels her as she needs a major lesson review on WAITRESSING 101!!
One of the Best Steak houses in the country. I travel all over the country and I have never had a better steak anywhere. Service is professional and never pushy. Silvio GM is one of the Top people in his profession. A truly great dining experience.
Horrible experience !. My husband is a 100% disabled veteran. He has a service dog that stays with him in a carrier about the size of a large purse. The GM, Silvio Carbone, questioned the fact that we had the service dog and asked us to zip bag up. I provided him with documentation, which we didn’t have to do. He left the table and when he returned, he threw the document on the table and left without a word. I spoke with him away from the table and told him our table deserved an apology. Our very expensive dinner was ruined. He refused to apologize to our table, but said he would apologize to my husband. He did as we left the restaurant. This was embarrassing and wrong. We are welcomed at The Mercury, Del Frisco’s, slapped Brothers and many other Dallas restaurants. Most would never know dog was with us. In fact, if we had been given a booth as we had reserved and not a table, no one would have known we had the dog with us. We will not go back,,,,,,Sent from my iPad
Wow. This place has completely go e downhill. I used to love this place! We went for New Years Eve and it was a horrible experience. To make it worse, I gave them feedback that they requested and nothing! No response. The service at Bobs sucks now. Its just as easy to go across the street to Capital Grille or anywhere else for that matter.
