Went there for the first time on a Friday night at seven thirty. There was no wait, that should have been my first clue. We were seated at the back of the restaurant and given a basket of two rolls and some oil/balsamic vinegar. The bread was warm and was honestly the highlight of the meal. Too bad the only waiter in the restaurant seemed put out when asked for more. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms… Nothing special. We ordered the meat lasagna and chicken Sinatra. The lasagna was boiling hot but otherwise okay, the Sinatra was a bland thin chicken breast with a melted slice of cheese, prosciutto, and soggy eggplant. All in all disappointing, but hey at least it’s pretty and cheap
Great Food and Service!. The food here was delicious and the service was very good. I love this place and so does my entire family. I can’t understand why leaving your marriage license behind would be the fault of the restaurant. It just does not make sense and when something does not make sense, it usually just isn’t true. The lunch specials just can’t be beat. I will go again, again and again.
Great food at Great Price!. Cafe Amore is a very good place to go for Italian food! I highly recommend there Tortollini Alfredo as it is one of the best I have had. Not to mention the fact that it’s BYOB so when the Bill arrives you will be more than happy to pay. Pizza is a must as well. I have been here many times and the service is top notch!
Great Dayak dining. We live just down the street and eat here often. Good food, good service and good value. We also do take out frequently and that is even a better deal with the large portions.
Super. We stopped in here for dinner and it really hit the spot. Although there were 2 large tables of being served, our food was delivered quickly and the service was above par. The prices are very reasonable too. We ordered the Veal Parm and Low Cal Pasta. Both were delicious. I recommend this restaurant for a good, quick, and reasonable priced dinner
Response to Tomi. The marriage license was left behind to how destracted I was regarding the terrible service. We created a private menu for our guests and the focus was not on the lunch specials. I expect decent service wherever I go and one should not have to go to a 5-star restaurant to receive it. If the poor economy is such an issue then they should offer better service and not excuses. I have a restaurant background and would have never offered such lousy service. This is a site to review restaurants and my review had nothing to do with your positive one. You should have left it at that.24 Dec, 2009Terrible Experience. We booked a table for 25 for our wedding brunch. I have always enjoyed other locations of this chain, but my experience at the Plano location was terrible. I talked with the manager two times in advance to make sure all the details we agreed to would be taken care of. They did not follow through on their commitment. My guests who arrived early had to light the candles and finish setting the table. The service was atrocious, because they were understaffed. One of my friends took care of the situation by refilling our glasses. We were served enough bread for only a few people and they only brought out the dipping sauce when I requested it (This is typically a part of each dining experience). Some of the guests received lukewarm food. The second round of bread was still not enough for all the guests and we waited 30 minutes for it to arrive. When the waiter (actually a manager) finally took our order he asked me, in front of my guests, about the price I was paying for each person’s food! We were allowed to bring in our own desert and they had refrigerated it over night. The waitress brought it out without telling us and just left it on a side table. It wasn’t until my guests were leaving that I even noticed. A friend stayed after our meal to repack our table decor items to bring to us. The manager grilled her about the dining experience making her extremely uncomfortable. I had accidentally left behind our wedding license and they did not have the courtesy to use the number I had left for the original reservation. I stopped back by to see if they had the license and while there spoke with the manager about the poor service. He only offered excuses while the owner became extremely belligerent. I have nothing positive to say about the Plano location of Cafe Amore on Park.
Good place all around. We love this place and truthfully i am shocked to read the previous review which i guess he/she has posted on another review site as well. As all the places these guys are not perfect but they are good at what they do i don’t know why people only write about bad stuff when they have been in business for 9 years. Now that i am thinking i think they have a $4.95 lunch special and some one is getting married on a Wednesday lunch at bargain prices and forgets her marriage certificate in a dirty table got to be either drunk, irresponsible or worse so please lets not bad mouth places that try to keep their head above water in this economy if you wanted 5 star service may i sugest the french room ohh i forgot they don’t have lunch specials. try this place for yourself promise you will like it. happy new years
