New location is wonderful, bright and inviting… Gone are the days feeling like you were in a mafia dive bar. The food is as always wonderful, but the service was so bad it stole the enjoyment of the meal. Once our food arrived our waiter disappeared into the night. Our drink glasses sat empty, the chees e container for our pizza and pasta was empty, and nobody cared to see it sitting on the edge of the table with our empty drink glasses. All it would take was a glance from anyone who worked there to any table or booth in the area to see the disgruntled look in the eyes of all who wondered if service would ever arrive again. Alas after sitting 10 minutes with the food eaten a d our dishes stacked for all to see our waiter whom we thought had surely deceased had found his way to see if we wanted the check. No mention of and dessert, or perhaps coffee, his only concern seemd to be that we leave. If you crave good food, and don’t mind feeling as if nobody loves or cards you choose there to eat, you have found the perfect place. However if you wish to eat drink and be merry… Don’t expect much .. this way you won’t be as disappointed as we were. Open since 1946.. however with service and horrible customer services you may close in 2017.

We’ve been Campisi’s fans since it was cash-only on mockingbird lane. The W Plano location has long been a quick dinner out spot for us but the new location they’ve moved to is awesome and very date worthy. Upscale digs. Good food. A full bar. And the same solid, friendly and personable waitstaff from the original Plano locale. Worth the trip.

Went for lunch on a Thursday. Ordered a large meat lovers pizza and artichoke hearts. Split it with my teenage son. More food than we could eat. Pizza crust was crispy and thin. Artichoke hearts were tender and buttery. You order at the counter but maybe only for lunch. Very clean and music was pleasantly not so loud you can’t talk. Spent about $30 including drinks. Not a bad deal

Yuck. Ordered take out – chicken parm was so salty and burned on the ends. The pasta was sticky and the sauce was like eating tomato paste with herbs in it. The side salad was hunked up iceberg ( my husband had the core in his) with a spicy pepper and a green olive? This place was over priced and gross. We will try somewhere else next time. How do you screw up chicken parm!?

Pizza Nice Change of Pace. We used to be regulars at Campisi’s when it was BYOB. A few years back they changed from order as you walk-in to sit down and be waited upon. BYOB is still allowed, but it feels awkward arriving with your own bottle of wine when they sell it. The lights are turned way down to almost dark. I was not able to get pictures of the dining area, bar or seating. Every shot turned out muted and too dark.We like the pizza here. Thin and crispy crust with a crunch is great. The toppings are fine for us. I cannot say this is great pizza, but it’s a change of pace we enjoy. The Joe’s Toast with cheese is very good. I like the fact that they put a heavy layer of cheese on the toast. The side of sauce allows you to dip and enjoy. Today we added the toasted ravioli with meat. It was okay. It was puffed and airy with a bit of meat inside. The highlight of the night was the Tiramisu. I have become a bit of a snob on this particular dessert. I like the bottom sponge cake to be soaked in coffee, but not leach upward. The top layer should not be over powering with dark or powdered cocoa. The middle layers need to be creamy. This tiramisu delivered on all fronts. It was outstanding. As Campisis’s moved from a pizza joint to sit-down restaurant, their other food items have not kept pace with the pizza. The pasta dishes are relatively bland. The meatballs are large, but do not carry much flavor. We have tried several dishes over the past few years. We only come for the thin crust pizza.By the way, or visit last night for three was $65. That is a lot for beer, appetizer, one large pizza and tiramisu.
