We had just went to the El Fenix in McKinney about two weeks ago and found the experience and food to be top notch. Nom’s Son likes El Fenix, so we ate at this location for his birthday since we were in the area.Om: We were seated immediately around 4:30pm on a Saturday afternoon. This experience was similar to the one in McKinney so I will try to shorten it up. The food is some of the best Tex-Mex that your money can buy – not only does everything taste great (love the tamale’s), but you get a lot of food to boot. Everything comes out hot and tastes fresh – I ordered the Special Mexican Dinner. Love the chips, hands down the best that I’ve had at a restaurant. Same goes for the salsa, finally a place that has mild! Icebox pie is one of the best dessert’s around, one that you have to try. They were very accommodating for the birthday as well, storing the cake that we got in their fridge until we were done with our food, and bringing it out while singing happy birthday. A very memorable experience, we love El Fenix! Nom: I may never get tired of El Fenix honestly they are quick, they are family friendly and the food is outstanding. This is the best Tex-Mex around! I thought Id order something new but I went with the flautas again. SOOOO good, full of chicken and came to me nice and hot. The chips are wiped out quickly but they refill them and the salsa is delicious. We had a birthday cake that needed to be refrigerated and brought out and they did so without hesitation. This was another great trip to El Fenix, we love it and will return soon I hope!!

Da de San Patricio muy feliz en Plano, Texas. Not being a fan of Irish food in Ireland or the USA I was delighted to have wonderful fish tacos at El Fenix on St. Patrick’s Day. The restaurant was founded in 1918 and has added lots of restaurants to the chain. The Plano location has ample parking. The restaurant has lots of seating. The murals on the wall and overall ambience is inviting for a cheerful dining experience. The mixed selection of south of the border music was delightful and not too loud. The tortilla chips are unique with an added something I cannot identify. The salsa is worthy. I liked the pinto beans served with the meal. It also had a generous portion of Mexican Rice. Since it was March 17th we were each served a complimentary sopapita sprinkled with green sugar. Acebo
