We have been going to this long-time Plano Mexican staple for at least 25 years and have never had a bad meal.They have the biggest crispy ground beef tacos I have ever seen. Their salsa has a great flavor without burning my wife out with too much heat. And their special items, like the Pork Montana are marvelous.They have both Tex-Mex and Mexican food and for many years were our go-to Mexican restaurant.
Not impressed. The salsa had an overbearing amount of cumin. Table side guacamole was the only real hero of the meal, however the chips served with it were greasy and just not good. I had the chicken flautas which went largely uneaten. the chicken itself was quite flavorful, but the insane amount of cheese ruined them. service was good, but there were only 2 tables (including us), on Father’s Day, so that should have said enough right there…. unfortunate.
I ate here once because we live near it and had been by it a million times. We arrived and were seated promptly. Our waitress was brand new and versatile pleasant but because she was new she really couldn’t recommend anything. My son ordered Carnitas and I got enchiladas. The decor was nice but a bit dated and things were a bit dusty. Our food arrived and we dove in only to be disappointed. It just wasn’t good. The carnitas were so greasy as to pretty much be inedible. The enchiladas were just not seasoned well and the sauce was not tasty. We won’t go back
