Chipotle w/ Better Food. El Queso is very similar to Chipotle and Qdoba with two very big differences. First El Queso is spartan and a little bit hole-in-the-wallish. It’s not very attractive or inviting when you walk in. Second, the food is way better than the two chain restaurants. All of the ingredients look fresh and taste that way. I had a bowl and added all my favorite ingredients. Everything was so much more flavorful. The red onions had a real kick. The seasoned chicken was good, so were the tomotoes.El Queso has a much larger menu than the two chain restaurants. I will definitely be back. The food is fresh with strong flavors that mix well. It would be nice if they did something (anything) with the spartan decor.
This place looked a little shady but it is like chipotle and freebirds but authentic!!! =]
