We hadn’t been to Fireside Pies for a number of years. I remembered the salads and pizzas as being very good. Sadly we weren’t as happy this trip.Fireside is an open, airy restaurantwith pretty stone walls and at lunch was fairly empty. We were seated immediately and the waitress helped us quickly.Their garlic breadsticks were amusingly shaped and quite tasty. When the pizza arrived they looked nice. The crust has nicely charred and had a good feel. There was enough good cheese. But for some reason the pizza (meatballs and peppers) just didn’t taste good. The meatballs had an off taste. My wife’s mushroom pizza was better but still not great.I’ll have to go back and see if this was just an off day for the cooks.
I have nothing but good things to say about this restaurant. The service was great. Our waitress was very friendly and energetic. I got the stuffed pie and my friend got the Balsamic Roasted Chicken Pie. Both pies were phenomenal and were more than enough to fill us up. The Balsamic Roasted Chicken Pie, however, was a little dry but we shared the sauce that came with my pie so it wasn’t a big deal. Compared to some of the other restaurants in the area, your dollar will go a lot farther here without sacrificing on quality.
Stopped in fireside pies for some sunday brunch. The atmosphere was great. Service and hospitality were second to none. The manager, Dev, was inviting from the moment we walked in the door andtook great care of us. He treated us as if he had known us forever. The spinach and artichoke dip was spectatular and the pizza was the best I’ve ever had. Mimosa’s werent bad either!! We will definately be stopping by here next time we are in town. Great establishment!
Top Notch Love It. Fireside Pies is great place for upscale pizza. They use slightly different toppings that make their pizzas unique. The crust is thin and crispy except the very center, which is a bit soggy. We tried the North Beach Pie. It has fennel salami, pepperoncinis, and smoked mozzarella. It was so good. I love the spice in the salami. The crust was crispy on the outside, but chewy in the center. The Breschetta both in presentation and taste was just as good if not better than the pizza. They put a generous layer of goat cheese on toasted crostini and then top it with diced tomatoes, mushrooms, basil and pinon nuts. Just superb. I really like the food here. It’s well done. The service matches the level of the food.
Amaaazing pizza! Premium toppings, crisp flavorful crust and premium toppings. Awesome salads too. This place was memorable pizza in the true Italian style!
I love this place the pizza is awesome and a must have is the goat cheese appetizer with the bread one of my personal favorites. Always crowded but worth the wait.
Nothing great!! Pros: Good atmosphere Texas bib salad was different, but good Cons: Expensive, $45 for two people Pizza was not good, I’ve had better from Pizza Hut!
