Absolutely love this place. The staff is friendly and the food is fresh tasting and delicious. If you like a Bloody Mary then you must try one from here. The grits are the best I’ve had. Hard to go wrong with anything on the menu.
Blackened Tilapia on Cheese Infused Grits. My fish was undercooked. Really did not enjoy my meal.
Really Good Place to Eat. Half Shells is a unique look and feel within the chic Shops of Legacy area. It’s a relaxed bar setting with stamped cement and rustic feel as the decor. It has an instant appeal. Chalkboard walls and boards are used throughout the restaurant to list the daily catch and specials.The Blackened Tilapia and Cheese Infused Grits were really good. The blackened spices were blended just right with the fresh taste of the tilapia. The grits were very good. The bits of real bacon were a nice touch. My server was top notch. He was attentive and caring. He asked that I come back and bring the family. It was done in such a nice way, that I will probably take him up on it.

Atmosphere was cool but the food not so much!. I ordered cheese grits and got plain ole grits that had no butter, salt or cheese for that matter. Cheese grits are supposed to be yellowish and this were white, not to mention they were lumpy. I’ve had better cheese grits out of an instant grit package by Quaker Oats. My blackened shrimp was okay due to the blackened season they used but my fried oysters had no flavor at all. This was my first time trying this place and I was not pleased at all. I will say this, the atmostphere was very fun.
Fabulous! Best oysters and shrimp this side of New Orleans. Titos vodka and tonic is cold and smooth. Beer is the coldest ever. We love Louisiana…and this is the Lone Star State version.
