Great spot to hang out with great drink specials and lots of fun events! Comfortable, friendly neighborhood bar. Two golden tee machines make it nice for group competition. I love the steak quesadillas. They now get their meat from a local, family-owned company so it is always fresh.
This is nuts. I cannot even count how many times I have eaten at Fish Shack and I just now realized that I have never written a review. Go Figure.I’ve eaten the biggest portion of their menu and can safely say that it is all good. Oysters is about the only thing on the menu that I have not tried and that is because I don’t particularly like them as many time as I’ve tried.Winter finds me purchasing the Gumbo while fish and shrimp are my go to choices for warmer times. Never to be left out, Fish Shack has a fairly broad selection of beer and wine. I lean towards Abita and usually get a Turbo Dog but you are likely to find a flavor that suits your taste buds.Stop in a check them out. I know I’ll be back.
Stick with the cod. The family lo ed seafood. We have tried the shack 4 times. Have ordered Mahi mahi salmon catfish shrimp cod crab. We have tried the menue. Stick with the cod and don’t expect to be blown away.
Scallops. Mmmmmmm good
Food is good but EXPENSIVE. Overall the food is good. It’s really expensive for what you get but surprisingly there isn’t another restaurant that serves fast seafood so we eat there every so often.
Good food, great service and reasonable prices. Decided to go really early—around 11:15Am—for lunch so we could beat the crowd. That is not going to happen. The line was already at the front door and the place was packed. It would appear that we would not get a seat at this early hour. It was Wednesday so we struck with the lunch special which as a large piece of fried catfish and a huge bowl of red beans and rice. The red beans and rice had chips of carrots and sausage throughout the bowl and was delicious. The price was only $5.45. That cannot be beat for lunch. The line never stopped, thus this has to be one of the busiest lunch places in all of Plano. You order at the bar and your food is deliver by a runner, who may be shouting your name and carrying your food. Great food, reasonable prices and outstanding service. Parking is a little tight with us having to a park in a lot behind the next door restaurant. Signs stated it is OK.You may find the noise level somewhat high especially with all the customers talking at one time plus the low ceiling. There is also seating out front on the deck.
Poor Quality Control. Fried oysters were way overcooked. Very disappointing.
