  Update 7 Feb 2017: I went back to try this again. My earlier rating stands. The muffeletta was almost as good as at the Big Easy (and probably the best in Plano), and the service was good, but the tables were sticky and the fries were undercooked and spongy and almost greasy.- – – – – – – – – – A sad merger. In late 2014 the owners merged Fishmongers with The Big Easy.Since then I’ve been to Fishmongers several times, as we thought Big Easy was our favorite restaurant in Plano. On every visit the waitstaff went out of their way to bad-mouth The Big Easy.Sadly while most of the Big Easy’s menu was moved/adapted into Fishmongers it didn’t make it intact. All of the dishes are noticeably worse and in some cases smaller. (One waiter made a point of noting that Big Easy gave you too much food for your money.) The burger was worse, the muffeletta worse, the poboys maybe as good, the salmon was much worse.The lunch time crown is small – about 1/2 to 1/3 the usual size I remember at The Big Easy.Its too bad to give this up as this was one place, when we couldn’t decide where to eat, that we all used to enjoy.RIP The Big Easy, and goodbye to Fishmongers.

  It ain’t what it used to be…unfriendly and poorly dressed staff food is barely average at best. Reminds me of Luby’s very bland. It’s a shame used to be so good
