I had been looking for a place to eat good philly cheeseteaks for some time in plano as I really miss them after being in NY for 4 years during my school.I recently bumped upon this place while searching and immediately went to try it and no doubt they are good , I will say very good
Great little hole in the wall. More choices than Carter has pills. Great toothpicks (appetizer). Never had a bad sandwich and everyone is nice.
Great friendly local place. They offer multiple different variants of the cheesesteak and offer an awesome sauce to pair it with. The bread is fluffy on the inside and has a smooth almost chewy quality on the outside that doesn’t get soggy right of the bat allowing you to pick up your cheesesteak without it falling apart. Freds loads up generous portions of steak ensuring you’ll need a fork at the end to finish off what has overflowed off the bread. I strongly recommend giving Freds a try.
Fred’s is awesome. I have even been told it is better than the ones in Philly. An awesome place to go – even if you are a Cowboys fan.
So Good – I Love Everything About Fred’s. This is a hole-in-the-wall to love. The cheesesteaks use a soft chewy bread. It complements the cheese melted by the hot meat placed on it. My wife and I tried #2 & #6. The only difference is #6 has mushrooms. Both were great. The guy taking our order was really nice. He gave us the back story on all six locations including the original that closed on Inwood. Great place!
Best Cheesesteaks in DFW. Fred’s (any location) has the best Philly cheesesteaks in DFW. But I am partial to the Plano location. Seriously, go try it. diningwithdeliajo.com
