Don’t like what’s on the menu, fine make up your own! By far the biggest selling point for this chain is that you can make up your own recipes. You basically peruse a buffet of ingredients, stack them in your bowl, and give it to the grill guy to cook up. You can argue that’s a bit gimmicky and normally I’d be on board with that notion……but I like it.Ambiance, service, and quality are pretty much the same across the chain, so they get points for consistency. The ingredients are simple but there is a wide variety to keep you interested in coming back and trying different combos. The only drawback is on occasion your creation may suck. This is a risk one must take at Genghis Grill. If you want to play safe they do have recipes to follow which I’ve never done (because it takes all the fun out of it) but I’m sure are good.Free refills, not terrible pricing, booze if you want to party, and tons of locations are other perks. Is it a chain? YesDoes it have chain qualities? YesDoes it matter? In this case No
A stir fry concept food chain.. Wasn’t crowded on a Sunday evening, the waiters are pretty friendly making sure people understand the concept before they order.. Good choice of protiens n veggies alike.. A wide variety of sauce, which could very well be recipe for disaster ! The fried rice veggie stir fry was definitely a winner..
Good Food and Good Service. Many of the reviewers have probably eaten at Genghis Grill many more times than this reviewer. For those that have not you are seated and your order taken for your drinks. You fill out a small card for one of your ingredients and list your name plus the size of the bowl (S,M,L) and take that with you to the cafeteria type line. You will be given the size bowl that you marked on the card. In my case it was a regular size bowl. You fill that as much as you desire with the assortment of meats. Chicken, sausage, port, crab, etc. Then you head for the condiment bowls where you add whatever is your choice to the top of the meats you have. After that comes the assortment of veggies and there are all kinds. You can stack your bowl as high as the food will allow. There you have separate bowl (small one) to pour your sauce in. You can taste the various sauces with a small plastic spoon before you decide on which sauce is your taste. Just dont use the same spoon for repeated and different taste. Get a clean one!. Hand you now completed bowl to the attendant. He was ask you if you would like the bowl topped with an egg (no extra charge). The cook then takes the bowls contexts and adds whatever you desire in the form of rice, steamed, brown, etc , or noodles and grill all the stuff together. In a couple of minutes the waiter will bring to your table. The restaurant is in my opinion has rather drab decorating and could stand a refreshing. Some of the set cushions are worn and reflect teas in the fabric. There are some new fangled electronic ordering screens on the tables which lets you a order and check out from that screen. Be forewarned thats some of the games on that machines could cost you to play. The food was good and the taste very good. Service was excellent and friendly.
