I go here when I am starving, and got a real bad case of sea-food craving!Love their shrimps, mussels and shortbread cakes.. huge spread, nice decor and spacious seating. Great place to gorge upon some tasty food.My only request, if it’s a veggie lomein or fried rice, don’t add egg… makes the actual vegetarians feel real bad.
This used to be our Chinese buffet to go to with family when we visited Plano from out of state. The service has always been friendly and welcoming and still is. But the buffet selection has gone way south. The last two times we ate there, the only dishes were chicken. No longer any shellfish, beef, or pork – just numerous chicken dishes. The chicken dishes are good but for the price, I miss green mussels, oysters, shrimp, pork, pepper beef and all the others they’ve now dropped. As a result, what was once looked forward to when we visited Plano is no longer included.
I know I know, I’m reviewing a Chinese Buffet how different can they be right?Well…yeah you’re right. So far as food this place is pretty much on par with the rest that are out there. This isn’t to say the food is bad though…..it’s just buffet food is all, nothing amazing mainly salty, fried, and meaty.Some factors which aren’t always the same across the board is why I’m even bothering to write this.Most buffet’s just give you a drink and the rest is up to you. This buffet actually had some service. The hostess was extremely pleasant, the waiter was attentive and my plates were taken away almost as soon as I was finished. The waiter explained that if there were any buffet items that weren’t fresh he would be happy to tell the the kitchen and even bring it fresh to my table.Great Wall Super Buffet was clean, easy to get to, easy to park, and had quick great service.I don’t always go to Chinese buffets and you may not either but if you do I’d recommend this one.
