Came for ice cream but was momentarily enticed by the hot dogs: until I noticed that only very young kiddos are eating the dogs and the parents were not. So back to the ice cream.Got a scoop of the much touted Cinnamon and the Butterscotch: they were ok. Very average. Somewhat disappointed. Oh well. Now I know.

Cinnamon ice cream is the best. The teenage workers not always so great. The old/original location needed interior work but the location they are in now looks nice.

The ice cream is absolutely delicious.Double Chocolate Chip and Mexican Vanilla were the choices for the evening. Both were yummy.I only wish Henry’s was closer to home and a tad cheaper so wouldn’t have to hesitate to stop in.

Yumminess!. Henry’s Homemade Ice Cream is a Plano staple. Everyone knows and loves this place. The service is always kind of crappy, but some how that seems to be part of the history/culture of this place. The ice cream really is good. During certain times of the week they have Hersches Hot Dog’s for a buck. Thumbs up to Henry’s.

When I arrived I stood behind 2 girls tasting multiple flavors. There were 4 employees but only one was helping the girls. One girl was hanging out at the register and walking back and forth to the back room. The other two were in and out if the room as well. One of the girls made herself a bowl of ice cream and stood at the counter playing with it. The ice cream tasted fine but most were melted and could not be put on a cone. I did get a recommendation from the only guy who was working however it was not a flavor I wanted. I won’t be back but they have a lot of work to do. You know you are in Texas in the summer so you should have adequate freezers for your product. If you only have high school kids working the shop they are going to stand around for the most part. It’s too bad I prefer to pay extra for a great experience. Ben & Jerry’s is better. Henry’s is not worth driving out of your way. Then again being in the industry I expect quality from specialty stores.

Great ice cream! Poor review because the owner wouldn’t let your students put on a show…really? Check your attitude. Highly love this place!
