Theyre open pretty late and we went around 9:30pm. A lot of places are impatient and annoyed with patrons late at night, as if they cant be bothered within their own business hours, but our food was delicious and our waitress, Dee, was incredible. There was a lot of cleaning going on as we were finishing up but not enough to make us feel rushed or unwelcome.
Not bad for seafood on the whole. The service is good. The restaurant is noisy and the waitstaff dances when certain songs play. The appetizer with the crab meat and spinach and artichoke dip is very worth it
The bar staff is awesome! We always eat there! Denver, Like, Will, Kaitlin, Melissa are all amazing! The food is solid and consistent and they will customize. This is usually our Sunday night date place.

Joes Crab Shack Review-Kamryn. This weekend, I ate at Joes Crab shack in Plano. I ordered a steampot that came with crab and shrimp. Overall, the experience was fantastic and the food was even better. The kind atmosphere, to die for food, and great service was hands down perfect We were off to a good start with a clean parking lot and a very pretty outside atmosphere. when Iwalked in, I was greeted by a very friendly employee who showed me to my table and asked for our drinks. Everyone was very friendly and the inside of the restaurant was decorated very beautifully with signs reading Bobs fish and bait or other things you might find on the beach or at the lake. I ordered the classic steampot and then I waited for my food to come. The wait was probably the worst thing about the restaurant. It wasnt long it just seemed like an eternity as I sat there smelling all the food of everyone around me. It was maybe ten minutes before my food came but that short eternity was completely worth the torture. The Crab and Shrimp was amazing(to say the least). The bibs they give the customers were hilarious and every bite of crab burst with flavor and seasoning. It ended up being more than I could eat. The way it was presented was very retro. It was brought out in…well, a steampot. It was almost too perfect to destroy. The waitors were incredibly nice and continuously made sure we had everything we needed and we 100% loved our food. I think that Joes Crab Shack represents their name positively. Long story short, they know what theyre doing, in and out of the kitchen.
Food has really decreased in quality since the last time we were there. One crab bunch was rubbery while the other was fine. Potatoes in my steampot tasted like fish. Thought maybe it was just because I had a steampot. Then my husbands fried potatoes with his meal (not steampot) tasted like someone else’s fish! Hubby ordered Bud Light draft and had to switch for bottle because draft was sour/flat. Not long after the trip, we both paid for it with upset stomachs.
Choices. If you feel your oil level is a little low, head over here! They have a choice of fried,fried or fried……. There are so many better seafood choices nearby. But hey, If you need a colorful Peace Love & Crabs shirt, then this is the best place around.
