This restaurant has changed owner about 2 years ago. We’ve visited it recently and the foods remain excellent. The menu is the same. Dishes such as Hor Fun, Salty Fish Fried Rice, Hainanese Chicken Rice are highly recommended!
Hear me roar!. I’m developing a taste for ethnic food. Never thought we have so much variety in DFW.I like the laksa here. And the chicken wings are fab. One day, I’ll be brave enough to try the fish head.

A real treasure. The food at Lion City Cafe is just fantastic. I am told this is Malaysian or Singapore style. Recently ordered a sambal-style dish-out of this world! This is a great place for an informal meal or take-out. You do have to pay in cash. The menu is a little challenging- as there are few printed versions but lots of lists on walls and board. There is no ambience- cheap tables and metal chairs, an ugly counter. It can also get loud, as this seems to be the place where Singaporeans meet. A little hard to find, it is across from Hancock Fabrics. I am sure I will return.
Great Singaporean / Malay food. The chili crab is awesome as is the laksa (laksa served weekends only) and the curry puffs are to die for. This is a cash only place. The owner doesn’t speak much English but gets by. It’s usually very busy. Since they have limited staff it’s best to serve yourself your own water.
The best south east asia food. They offer good food with reasonable price. You have to come early on weekend otherwise you will not get any seat or they will run out of good food. Remember cash only.
