Delicious!!! Food and atmosphere were great! Went on a Saturday afternoon and it wasnt crowded at all. Definitely recommend getting the Baja Shrimp Tacos and Chicken Nachos!
Place is new and has nice ambience. Visited Place for Lunch but ordered from regular Dinner Menu. Tried Sea Bass Street Tacos. Served with tasty and delicious sauce and also ordered Chicken Tinga. Both were delicious. Very courteous Staff and Manager.
This is a top notch spot for food and drink, with patio seating that is terrific. Let’s be clear on one thing: if you are price sensitive, this is NOT the spot for you. Everything is 10-20% higher than comparable food in the area, but frankly, worth it given the quality of service, the mood of the restaurant and the optimum patio experience. My one caution: table side guacamole is not worth the expense. Better can be found almost anywhere. But the margaritas more than make up for that gap. Go enjoy!
Salmon and Tampequena was awesome! Service at this location outstanding just as it is in Grapevine! Excellent outdoor atmosphere as well! Love this place!
Undoubtedly the best Mexican food I have had in the Dallas area to date. The guacamole is made tableside and is a huge amount. They add bacon if you want and I recommend it. I had Sandy’s plate and it was totally awesome. Portions tend to be large so order accordingly. Only downside was they served my Diet Coke from a can so refills aren’t free.
Reviews are fun when you find someplace special – either its great and everyone needs to know about it or its awful and everyone needs to stay away. I’d been to Mi Dia in Grapevine and was excited to have my wife and I try the new Plano location on the tollroad just north of Parker Rd.It was full for lunch at 12:30 on a Wednesday, as were a lot of restaurants in this area. I guess, despite the abundance of restaurants a lot of people eat out on this side of Plano. The inside is slightly busy but is bright and attractive and not too noisy considering the crowd. The service was very good. We were seated immediately and the waitress, whose name I missed, treated us well. (That’s a little surprising again considering the crowd.) She kept out drinks well filled, kept checking to see that we were good, and generally made us welcome and made sure we had a good time. But here is where things went wrong. We strongly prefer tables but there was only a booth available. And it was horrible. Usually booths are bad because there is too little room and I feel squeezed between the seat and table. So I was happy that I had enough room. Then I noticed my feet couldn’t touch the floor. Your feet not on the floor for the whole meal is very uncomfortable.Next I noticed my feet were hitting my wife’s feet. This is because the booths seat cushion and seat back were both tilted backwards making us lean back and our feet hit.Third since I was forced to lean back I had to fight to lean forward to the table. By the end of the meal both my stomach and back were hurting. My wife said the same. This is by far the more uncomfortable seating I have seen in many, many years. I was ready to rate the restaurant very, very low. Its not like seating is a new invention. Its insane that an otherwise good restaurant would put in features like this. But then the food came. The chips came with red and green salsa. The red was good, but a little standard. The green was a tomatillo and green chile salsa. You could taste the sweetness of the tomatillo and good chile flavor. It was excellent.Sharon had stacked enchiladas, New Mexico style, with red & green sauce on the side. That was good for her because the (good) red sauce was hot, and the green sauce was very hot. To help her I took care of that. This was the best New Mexico green chile sauce I’ve had in Dallas. Very Excellent. My New Mexico beef and pork guiso is a red chile stew and was again excellent. It had tortilla strips and small savory sopapillas on top. It had avacado, cheeses, bits of onion and chiles in the stew. I doubt there is a better stew, guiso, or chili in Plano. We ended with a very nice churro & ice cream desert. ($8 for two small churros?)I expected a good meal and got a great meal even if I couldn’t straighten my back all afternoon.I’ll gladly be back as long as I can sit at a table.
