Located inside the liquor store. I love Reuben sandwiches and the one they serve isn’t bad. However it is not even close the the best I have had. It must be eaten with silverware because it falls apart. Served piping hot and sauce is generous. Tableware is plastic
Zagat Award Winner – Very Affordable – Great Place. I never knew what I was missing. I have seen the yellow awning at the back of Spec Wine Store. To be honest, it looked sketch. I am very glad at have given it a whirl. It’s a pretty small deli that takes up the back part of the wine store. The decor is checked red/black/white with pig statues. It’s a little underwhelming in looks. What grabs your attention are all the awards over the years. Next are the massive chalkboard that cover the 15 foot walls with menu items. There are so many options that your first visit will take awhile to decide. I landed on a Brooklyn Reuben. Oh wow it was good. The rye bread was toasted perfectly. The low cal Russian dressing was a perfect mix with the sauerkraut. They added a huge portion of pastrami. I really like my sandwich. The whole meal was less than $10. Huge thumbs up to this place. I highly recommend it.
Not impressed. Small sandwich, not much flavor
Sales. Discovered this deli a while back. Been in 7-8 times. Best Sandwich shop in Plano, and maybe the best in DFW. Atmoesphere is nothing but second thought in back of a liquor store, but the food makes up for it.
Time to join the 21st century please. The have a good deli with just under 50 sandwich choices. I’ve been enjoying some of their standards, like the Texas Reuben, for close to 20 years and highly recommend them for a quick and simple lunch if you are in the area. But have you tried to find their menu online lately? Or what if you want to investigate their catering options before calling to place an order? They have no web presence of any type, no menus anywhere online, zilch, nada, nothing. And this is for a place that advertises delivery. Perhaps they see themselves as traditionalist or something, but at this point in the Internet age I see them as lacking a standard component of an eatery that cares about their customers.
Great choice for quick, good sandwich. I’ve eaten here several times and now now consider it one of my regular stops. Try the Mexican Cheese Steak, but all are good.
