(September 23, 2015)Not much has changed in Osaka Sushi. The food is decent for what you get, and still has a lot of Japanese dishes for families to try! I recommend coming in at least by 7pm if you want to relax and enjoy dinner (they start packing up their food around 9-9:15pm before their last call at 9:30pm). The hot food was okay, but the sushi were pretty good, and the crab legs were very fresh! (June, 2015) On the south side of W. Park Boulevard, it is easy to miss Osaka Sushi when driving to it. But when you find it, it is an interesting, blue Japanese Traditional Building. Upon entering, you immediately see the buffet and its selection. The hostess and servers were exceptionally friendly this last visit, our server nice and attentive. The dining areas are usually kept dimly lit and you can sometimes find the restaurant packed on busy nights (like Friday or Saturday night). Compared to a larger-scale Chinese Buffet, there is less buffet stands but there is still a great number of Japanese dishes (from Traditional to American-influenced styles) to choose from. We personally gravitate towards the sushi, sashimi, and seafood options – which they all have a plethora of. As for the quality of food? Yes, this is where Osaka can stand to improve and why this rating (and, I imagine, why the overall rating for Osaka as of today) is only above average. As with many buffets, food sometimes turn stale and cooked items can be lukewarm at best. The sushi and sashimi is not the best quality I’ve had, but it’s more than enough for my family to always include Osaka on our Dallas Trips (and we live in Oklahoma City). We also enjoy their cocktail shrimp and crab legs (which they’ve been so fresh that they can ‘slide’ right out). As for the regular cooked items, these are generally found in the back buffet tables and they are about 6.5/10 in quality (but still enjoyable). The price is per person and can be very expensive (especially during dinner). This place is excellent for some date nights, treating out-of-town relatives, celebrations, and every-once-in-awhile food ventures.Tips: 1) When trying their soup (especially Ramen or Udon), take the extra trip to the back buffet tables and add some fresh Shrimp Tempura. 2) If you are a fan of cooked sushi, you may want to ask the sushi chefs if they would make a fresh batch for you; the ‘Volcano’ Rolls we had last time were lukewarm at best and not the tastiest. 3) If you like crab, butter is available by asking the server. It was a delicious enhancement to their fresh crab! 4) If you can (and as per usual to buffets), come during the most busy times (Friday or Saturday night) – food is turned over faster, fresher, and the bustling laughter of families, friends, and crowds coming together is the key formula for a good food experience.

All you can eat SUSHI is only available in Dallas when you live in Oklahoma (somewhere that is worth driving hours for). The selections of sushi is large and the food is delicious. The oysters and mussels are great to eat. The crabs can be asked to be steamed, if you kindly as your waiter/waitress.Personally, I tear jerked a little bit when I tried a piece of sushi that was wrapped in seaweed and topped with these large red fish eggs.. it was a bitter explosion in my mouth, but regardless, the food is delicious. The place is a little expensive, but what do you expect for all you can eat delicious food? The sushi can also be asked to be made fresh, if you ask the sushi chef. The food is what you pay for, great quality seafood.Oh my, do not forget to dive back in and grab some freshly made creme-brulee or chocolate dipped strawberries, yumm!

Great Food Good Sushi too. Great food, good price, lots of vegetables, good sauted meats, wonderful little egg dish in the hot food section. Lots of soups, different kinds of salads. Best creme brulee on a buffett!Nice atmosphere. It was very pleaseant and I go there to celebrate with friends whenever we have an occasion. We get lunch.

The quality has gone down significantly over the past year. They removed several really good items off the buffet and still raised the price. Cheap & repetitive rolls. Fried area is great, but it’s advertised as a sushi restaurant. Have low expectations when planning.

I’m writing this review from the Mac Grill across the street. My wife and I had to come here to get the putrid taste of Osaka out of our mouths. Also, two beers, and two buffets hit us for 70 bucks. Osaka was truly horrid!!

Hostess was as friendly as a rattlesnake. Tried to seat us in a horrible spot in the back corner before we asked to be re-seated. Server was nice though. Food was good for the price. Good selection of seafood, sushi, and prepared food.

Worst Sushi buffet place ever!!!. I took my family last week after I saw ad 20%off for 6 people.I remember food used to be ok, but this time so much less selection to choose and quality was bad! Service also terrible. Server never showed up and she charged 20% gratuity for 6 people. Worst exerience ever!!!
