Spaghetti was cooked to mush so sent it back. We kept checking and an employee kept saying only a few more minutes. 45 minutes later we got up to leave and ask for a refund and they handed us our spaghetti to go. They were out of Parmesan cheese. No coupon was offered. No manager apology. Will stick with the McKinney and Little Elm locations. Won’t return to the Allen location!
I am not sure why the staff has all but disappeared recently, all new management and the food is a far cry from being considered edible! I predict this location closing soon as it must have an owner that just doesn’t get it! Good luck in your next adventure, but this one is failing miserably! Stay away if you value your hard earned money!
Sadden’s Me to Give Thumbs Down. I feel really bad giving this a thumbs down. I want to like this. It’s a BYOB. I have been to two other Palio’s and they have been fantastic. There are two major issues with this location. There is no customer service or any attempt to fill customers need. I looked through the 8-10 teens to find what I thought might be a manager or shift manager. I could not find one, nor did I see one acting like it. No one will tell you where to get plates and napkins. The food will be delivered with no words and no guidance on how to get plates. The wine glasses are up to you to find even though you set a bottle of wine on the order counter and at the table. You are on your own here. No one works the floor to make sure things are okay. People bringing your food offer no help and do not ask questions. I can get past the bad service once I learn the ropes. I don’t need help especially when I can bring my own beer or wine. But in this case, the food was bad. The cheese sticks were not finished. It was over half uncooked dough. It was bad. My meat & cheese pizza was not good. I like the crust but the flavors were missing. The bacon was hard to eat. Over all it was not good.I love Palio’s, but this location has issues.
The worst service I have ever encountered. Went to pick up a to go order after 20 min as they said and they had not even started making the pizza. Most of the kids working there are probably high school kids. The guy making the pizzas was adding toppings with his bare hands. Their Alfredo sauce in a pasta dish we ordered tasted as if it was made from a powdered mix.
Terrible customer service. My family and I went to Palio’s on Custer. There were two other tables with customers, ourselves, and 8 employees working in the kitchen (not an exaggeration). Despite being 1 of 3 customer tables in the restaurant, they lost our order. Did I mention there were 8 employees and not one of them thought to wonder why a family of 4 was sitting and waiting for 30 minutes? No one checked on us. When we finally went to investigate, we were given a shrug and told they would start them now. Oh, and they’d give us free bread sticks. I had a 6 year old and a 7 year old with me. I didn’t want bread sticks. I wanted the last 30 minutes of my life back. Their cavalier attitude was unacceptable. We got a refund and left. I’m very disappointed as this was in my neighborhood, but I will not return.
Most Palio’s where I have dined have been excellent. My visit to this location was disappointing. Ordered salad and pizza. Had to go to the counter after 10 minutes to get the salad even though there were 10 employees an one other table with customers. Pizza came out barely warm. Took it back and it was returned with the crust more brown but the temperature still only warm. I asked for and received my money back and left the store. An email to the owner was not acknowledged or responded to. Will not return to this location.
Great pizza. I like the thinner crust pizza’s and they make great ones. Caesar salad was huge and tasty. They also deliver. I will return and I want to try more.
