Finally tried out a Paradise Bakery for lunch today. I know, I know – I’ve been living under a rock apparently. First thing I noticed was the high ceilings and open floor plan. Then I noticed they have a pick 2 lunch special- score. The options on the kids menu were legit as well. Kids eat free on Thursdays. Note to self – avoid the zoo of children on Thursdays. Heh for lunch I chose the walnut chicken salad sandwich with the mixed greens salad. Then BAM! They put a fresh cookie on my tray! I quickly looked at my neighbors to see if it’s a regular thing or a mistake for I did not order one. EVERYONE GETS A COOKIE! Brilliant. Bloody brilliant.
Paradise was always one of my go-to spots for a quick snack or to grab an iced tea when I lived in Boston and I missed having one close when I moved to Nashville! So obviously I couldn’t resist stopping by for an hour in between meetings to get a chocolate chip cookie (a MUST if you go here – they’re known for their cookies!). Had trouble connecting to the wifi at first so I couldn’t get work done right away, but besides that, it was the perfect place for a quick break. Lots of people come here to work on their laptops too – always nice finding places where it’s not weird to whip out your laptop as soon as you sit down!
The quality and price reminded me of a hospital cafeteria. The first server was short with us, which was an immediate turn-off. The other servers were extremely friendly, but the food was just mediocre.
This location is great and has friendly staff, fresh food. Love me some chocolate chip cookies! Woo!
Excellent Sandwitches. Extremely fresh and healthy sandwiches along with various bakery items. One of our favorite places to have a light meal.
