Had a decent time until the facility got busy, and the bartenders were exremely rude and couldn’t handle their business. There was no management presence at all, and the food was marginal, at best.
The new atmosphere is just fine for a local pub but that is what it is now. Went in for dinner and was very disappointed in the food. If they are going to compete they at least need to get the burgers and fries right. It wasn’t bad it just was average
Format Change. Parkway Tavern changed ownership and format in February. They renovated and removed all of the charm and cozy feeling. The brick wall and mirrors in the center bar area were removed. The resin beer top counter and art have been eliminated. The whole bar and seating is open across both sides. The color is now gray/black. I really enjoyed the look and feel of the old format. The current layout is boxy and low in color and tone. It’s not very inviting.
