Came here for late night drinks. I find the cocktail selection amusing. Ordered triple M explosion and sidecar. It was not that packed when I came here on a Friday night. I think it was around 11PM? had so much fun and the music was pretty good that’s why I only took 1 snap. LOL

Brunch!. We went for bruch last weekend. Loved the Bloody Marry’s wth bacon-infused vodka (they had me at bacon, and then again at vodka). The benedict was wonderful– flavorful but not overpowering. Everything features some level of spice, but we didn’t come across anything that was overly spicy. Try the French Toast Monster!

Don’t waste your time or money. Arrived about 7:15 on a Saturday night and was asked if we had reservations. We did not. We were told we could get bar service and it was first come first serve. We found seats promptly but after 15 minutes of absolutely zero service we decided to spend our money elsewhere. Pepper smash employees are unfriendly and need some serious training on customer service…mainly how to spot a hungry, thirsty customer who is waiting to place an order!!

On the fence, but good flatbread. Granted I did go around when it first opened, but it was pretty dead at peak lunch hours. I would go back again though; I think it’s picked up but the flat breads were fabulous!

Constrained for Plano. The chef approached the table and my sense of embarrassment was enormous. Never had I filled out a comment card and been almost immediately sequestered for more input. I should explain. I, the curious yet insufferably awkward Tyranasaur that I am, decided to explore the new Pepper Smash with my beloved Procompsognathus husband in tow. We began our meal with an Orange blossom sensation and the Smoking Dr Pepper. My OBS was good, a remaining of an old fashioned but sadly accompanied by a droopy maraschino. The lackluster of mixology accoutrement. It wasn’t nearly enough drink for what I paid, but it’s Plano, and I’m sure they could have easily asked for, and gotten, more. The Dr Pepper was good but far too little whiskey to far too much soda. Thought perhaps we reptiles are more in need of powerful drinks. We ordered the Blistered shishoto peppers to start and we’re pleasantly surprised by large peppers with a very enjoyable smoked sea salt on top. Easily beating the other shishoto peppers we had tasted at neighboring Ra. The White bean and ham bisque was disappointing. Not because of the technique or creativity, but because of the simplicity of the dish. It was simple it wasn’t special. Mere pure and crab in a bowl. No spice or flair. The grilled. Hesse sandwich was good, but mentioned to be less craveable than a grilled cheese from the Fort Worth food truck Lee’s Grilled Cheese. A masterpiece of simplicity, a da Vinci of restraint for comfort. The fries however were lovely, though to be fair, a remarkable French fry is few and far between. The Lamb sausage and bean stew was a mixed blessing. The presentation was lacking, and to be honest, so was the spice. The sausage was fantastic, the best lamb I have had in some time, but the stew was..uninspired. It was if a can of tomato met a curry, but was cooked with tied hands. It could have been very good. As the waitress, attentive And astute brought the check I was compelled at her request to fill in a comment card. I voiced my sadness at the meal, not out of criticism but out of hope that this new place would please me and others as the short lived Sutra had. An oasis of flavorable Indian in a very opaque dining selection of the Shops at Legacy. I wrote a few things and relinquished to finishing my wine, when the chef approached the table. I was embarrassed at first, but more so overwhelmed at his candor, thoughtfulness and appreciation for those who truly enjoyed food. I was saddened because he was the chef at Sutra, and was being forced, in my humble opinion, to tie his hands. To be restrained into making less flavorable, less exciting dishes. And sad to say it is the palates of Plano that do the binding. Just as Japanese foot binding may have been the rage, it simply detracts from the beauty of what could have been to satiate those of the region. Those of the majority. I hope that the leadership of Pepper Smash realize that much, for success and for legitimacy. Rawrrrrrr

The drinks here are good and pretty original. Food portions were tiny and overpriced.
