Frequent Diner. My family has been dining at Picasso’s for several years. We have taken family and friends that live locally and from out of town and everyone has always enjoyed the food and service. I have never had a bad meal there. Everyone should remember, this is a family owned restaurant and there are a limited number of people working there, so on very busy nights you may not get all the special attention you think you deserve, breath deep you’ll survive. That said we have always received great service, the entire staff (including the owner /manager) have always been kind and courteous and have gone out of they’re to be helpful. They explain the dishes on the menu and sometimes even suggest certain dishes because they are better that day. I think some of these bad reviews are from that imposter Picasso’s off the Toll Way because it not the Picasso’s I go to. Do yourself aand your family a favor and ignore the nay sayers and try Picasso’s Italian Ristorante on the corner on Coit and Legacy in Plano Texas. Take a bottle of wine, relax and enjoy the simple but great food at a resasonable price

Sorry Picasso, we hung in with you, but food taste has declined.10-26-13 Update: Four of us visited Picasso’s and had a great time. The server was so funny and attentive. We laughed out loud with him several times. My Pesto Chicken was very good and flavored just right. The Lobster Ravioli was good, but a bit rich for me. Pollo Saltimbocca alla romana was outstanding. The mushrooms, prosciutto and risotto came together wonderfully.Original Review: Wow, I am shocked to read all of these bad reviews. We have visited Picasso’s for years. The owner and his relatives know us when we walk in. They remember what our kids order. Our kids even test them to see if they get it right. We stop at Tom Thumb across the street and pick up a bottle of wine. They open it and chat while they do it. They tell us about their new items like last nights Cream of Mushroom and Tomato. It was fantastic.I tend to agree with the assessment of the salad bar and darkness of the place, but it is more than compensated by the gentle caring owners of this place. I cannot discount what a first visit impression must be like. There are too many reviews that say stay away. All I can say is think of it as a neighborhood restaurant. Get to know them. The food really is good.
