We went on a Saturday afternoon at about 3 PM. Not crowded but not empty. We were seated promptly and given menus. Our server appeared and asked if we had been in before. We hadn’t and that threw him a bit. We ask for samples of the wing sauces and ordered our drinks and fried pickles and jalapeos. The sauces came out with celery for tasting. All were actually very good. We ordered Garlic Parmesan, Ginger Peach Sriracha, Lemon Pepper and Bakers Gold. Appetizers came out and we’re ok but nothing special. Then the wings came out quickly and man! They were awesome! They definitely get those right! Service was good

Since Pluckers had some fame (from Austin?) we were excited to see it come in the DFW and Plano. When it arrived we went a bunch of times because everyone wanted to try it out. But it turns out that mostly its a college bar atmosphere with lots of neon and so much noise we pretty much couldn’t talk. That works in some places that have a exciting atmosphere but not here. But I came back to try it again and was greatly disappointed.I asked why the flavors went from a heat rating of 2 directly to 4 and 5 with nothing rated 3. The waitress went into make-things-up mode saying how hot their level 2 was (it really isn’t). Then I asked the difference between the lunch boneless wings ($10.50) and the full boneless wing basket ($12 – except the online menu says $11.50).I got the full basket in two level 2 flavors, waffle fried, blue cheese sauce, and iced tea.The iced tea was the best part of the meal. The waffle fries were so limp I could tie them in a knot and the ketchup was some off-brand (by Red-Gold). Ugh.The blue cheese sauce was ok except no chunks of actual blue cheese. The wing coating flaked off into soggy inedible strips. The wings and what flavor remained were ok, but not as hot as promised. And then the bill came. The wing basket wasn’t the $12.00 as the menu said, or the $11.50 the online menu said. Instead it was $13.00. By this point I was so disgusted I didn’t want the spent the effort to correct them.Maybe the other Pluckers are better than the Plano one, but I’ll probably never find out.

Great lemonade and great service but definitely not the best wings in Plano. Full service sports bar but the food is not up to the rest of the operation.

Love this place. Food is always consistent and fantastic. It’s gets crazy busy sometimes but the staff handles it well and just means other people know it’s a great place too!

The service we received this evening was excellent. I mean for a wing bar, it was extraordinary. Like a previous reviewer, we too received, as first time patrons, a free sample order of fried pickles, which were excellent. Now the wings…they are indeed large and expertly cooked. However, the sauces are really just decent, not great. There is quite a selection, but none are particularly impressive. True, they are the best wings I’ve ever had in Texas, but that’s not saying much. Basically, the wings themselves out of the fryer are top notch, but the sauces are just so-so. The basic buffalo hot sauce was pretty modest in heat. Admittedly, being from the East Coast, I am a true wing snob and a hard grader. Pluckers impressed me as a solid concept with great service and an attractive atmosphere. Looks like a good place to watch a game. But the corporate test kitchen needs to re-work their sauces. ‘Hot’ buffalo sauce should make you tear up and have different layers of heat. Really extreme hot wings (for those who dare eat them and the restaurants that brag about serving them) should make you want to curl up in the fetal position and beg for a bottle of Pepto. Otherwise, you’re just posing. Garlic wings should have chunks of real garlic and some heat to give it an extra kick. Here ends the sermon. Good luck, Pluckers.
