Cult Following. I’ll put the bag on my head to hide from all the Cane lovers. I even have to hide from my own daughter that loves this stuff. The Cane sauce is addictive. I will give you that. The sauce is incredible. I would put that $*!t on everything.Awesome sauce aside, Canes is not for me. I do not like battered covered food in general. The chicken inside does have decent flavor but the combination of chicken, grease and batter create a texture issue I do not like. When you add semi-soggie fries, I have to pass. Tonight I held up a french fry to my daughter and it limped over.Cane’s is a one trick pony albeit a hugely successful one. If you don’t like battered covered chicken, your done at Canes.
If you don’t like chicken fingers…. Don’t like chicken fingers? Don’t bother. There literally isn’t anything else on the menu. That being said, if you do only one thing, you’re gonna make sure you do a damn good job of it. That’s what Canes does — chicken fingers. And they’re damn good. Protip: Chicken fingers aren’t the only thing that goes great in the secret Canes Sauce — try dipping your Texas Toast in that sucker as well!
