Best Thai Restaurant. My wife and I have tried most of the Thai restaurants east of Fort Worth, and in our opinion this one is the best in Plano, if not all, of DFW. The restaurant has recently moved to the 15th Street side of the shopping center where they were previously located on the Custer Street side. They have added a few new items to the menu, which has a wide variety of dishes to please meat and seafood lovers and vegetarians as well. Their full menus are available online at their website, http://ruangthai.com .The food is fresh and authentic and the service is warm and friendly. This is a small operation, so when the place is busy the speed may not be what some fast food addicts expect, but the quality is well worth waiting for. To top it off, the restaurant is BYOB making it a great value for those of us who enjoy a little wine or beer with our meal. Highly recommended!

Great food, they will customize any dish for you willingly. The tofu is fantastic, but it’s a great place for a mixed group of eaters. The service is excellent, the family is so sweet! I think the portions are just right. Such a gem in plano! The black rice pudding is delicious!

Best Kept Secret in Plano. Ruang Thai, Plano. Independence and 15th – EXCELLENT. You must go now! BYO. Curry or Pad – om nom nom. To the reviewer who thought she might have been ignored because of her race – I am sure the owners would feel bad if they knew how you feel. Any place can have a bad night, and don’t forget its family owned, so maybe service is slow sometimes. Meet me there this Friday and I will introduce you to Moo, the owner. She is very nice, and you will love the food! Please give them another chance.
Best Thai around. I love this place, my wife and I went there this evening. The service is good and the food is fresh and tasty. I had the Pad Gra Tiem Prik Thai with chicken (Broccoli, carrots, garlic, black pepper, cilantro) and a cup of the Tom Kha.
