This place was great! We came after a business conference and were completely satisfied! The service was amazing and the owner is a great person! He talked to us for a long time about the start of the start of Sakana and we were impressed. I recommend this place to everyone. I ordered the Love Love roll which was amazing and the Ahi Tower which is also amazing!
Sushi Sakana has been around for many years and has been our regular sushi place. But today we found it is under new management, so we’ll have to re-evaluate.Its in a strip center and is very nicely decorated inside, including a collection of Japanese dolls by the entrance.We were quickly greeted and our order taken. We had to study the new menu, and I forgot to see if my favorite dinner items were still on the menu. But my wife got the lunch bento (even if its not in a bento box) and I tried the kimchi + bulgogi.My lunch came with miso soup upon which I cannot comment because its not a soup I care for. My wife noted her salad was three times larger than under the previous owners. And she liked it a lot.I haven’t had enough bulgogi (Korean marinated pork) to judge it but I liked it. I was barely able to finish all the pork and had to leave a lot of rice behind because I was full.My wife’s bento plate was beautiful. 4 kinds of sushi plus sushi rice rolls. She took her time and enjoyed all of it.Sadly we hadn’t been here recently enough to reliably compare this to the old management, but we liked the lunch, and since my wife loves sushi we will be back. I should also say that we got significantly more food here compared to the old management.
