Not Very Good. Everything was overcooked. The salsa was good bp bean dip as well The entree ( Rene) crispy taco, tamale and enchilada. Way overcooked. Dried out Flavorless. The secret to good food is fresh ingredients. This all tasted less than fresh. It was edible but very bland and overcooked. Overpriced for quality of food. Better alternative ? Chuy’s. El fenix. El Norte
Good Food Didn’t Know This Was Here. We have lived near this area for almost 20 years. I have no idea how long this place has existed, but I did not know about it until today. My daughter’s friend said she had to try the Bean Salsa. The outside sign is not lit up. It’s hard to find in the dark. Inside, the place has warm sage walls with black accents. The tables are wood with random plants here and there. It’s cozy. The service is quick, too quick. This was a our first visit. Before we even cracked the menu, our server asked if we were ready. As soon as we finished our meal, they took the plate even if the other was not finished. When I finished, he took my plate in seconds. Within minutes I had the check in hand. We were in and out in 25 minutes. That’s too fast if you want to enjoy yourself. The actual meal was great. My beef enchilada was spiced just right. The beef burrito avenue was fairly large. We enjoyed every bite. Oh, and the reason for coming…Bean Salsa. It was great. We’ll be back, but I hope they slow down and let me enjoy it.
Perfect Hole-in-the-Wall. This restaurant is the definition of a hole-in-the-wall gem. The service is average, the place is ALWAYS packed with people (get there before 6:30 unless you don’t mind a wait outside), the manager is great, and the food will blow you away. I have tried almost everything on the menu and have yet to be disappointed.
The food was decent but the service was bad. The waiter didn’t want to be there!! The one in Frisco is much better.
We love the Frisco location and thought we’d give this (closer) location a try… we’d rather drive further. Service was awful. Left drinks empty, ignored us, snappy when we asked if we could order, etc. Food also wasn’t great. Flautas were burnt, guac was bland, tacos were really greasy.
I don’t get why this gets so many raves. It’s mediocre at best and overpriced for what it is. Won’t be back.
Great food!. This place has really good Mexican food. The chips and salsa are wonderful and they even bring out a delicious bean dip that is borderline addictive. I had the brisket enchiladas and they were perfect. My only regret is that I didn’t try a margarita!
