Went for a quick bite on a Saturday night with the family. Steak n Shake is what it is, food-wise (that being a place for a good burger and shakes), but there’s a reoccurring problem with inadequate service. Like other visits before, we were say down, but it was 10+ minutes before any of the wait staff even approached the table. Even when they finally acknowledged our presence, they managed to foul up the order multiple times. Because of the poor service, I would typically just suggest that patrons use the drive through. But here, too, the SnS staff are woefully inadequate, with a simple two shake order (getting shakes for drove home) proved to be too much for the woefully inadequate staff. All in all, SnS is good food, provided you luck out and receive competent service. As it stands, if you do visit this particular location, bring lots of patience with you…you’ll need it.
