Smiles Happiness and Great Donuts. Well, just when I think all donut shops are alike, I find Sonny Donuts. This is about as plane Jane as it gets for store front and decor, but the service sets it a part from the crowd. The two ladies are all smiles, they say hello to you directly, and they look you in the eye. They are the reason to visit this location. The donuts themselves are a step above the crowd. They have all the standbys, which are good, but the heaven sent additions are their donut holes. They have three varieties of poppable bites. The cinnamon twist is perfect size and tastes great. The raspberry filled, powder sugar donut holes rock. They have solved the issue of too much cream or jelly in one bite and not enough in others. It also does not squeeze out the side. You pop one in your mouth and get all the flavors. Yum. Huge thumbs up to this place. It’s not like all the others.

If anyone is looking for a great place to grab breakfast togo, Sonny donuts will be a perfect place for warm and fresh goodies!!

Wonderful!. I just moved to Plano from Winston Salem, home of Krispy Kreme, and was very intrigued by the Donut shops on every corner. This shop had the highest rating on US, so I made it my first stop on a Saturday morning and ordered a variety or things: chocolate iced, chocolate iced sprinkles, cinnamon roll, eclair, ham and cheese croissant, sausage roll, and blueberry. The lady was very friendly and patient and threw in some donut holes and an extra plain cake donut. We haven’t gotten to the sprinkles, blueberry, or cake donut yet, but everything else was delicious and I’m sure they will be too. They won this Krispy Kreme devotee over. Check ’em out!
