After reading these awesome reviews, I was very excited to try this sushi restaurant with my girlfriend as we LOVE sushi. I’m sure like most of us, I appreciate a business that stays true to their hours and welcomes their customers. Low and behold, my girlfriend and I walked in to Sushi Town at exactly 8:25. Through out the week they claim to close at 9. However, as soon as we walked in they turned us away. There were two sushi chefs and one hostess/waitress that wouldn’t even grant us a smile and an apology that they would not in fact give us a table since they claimed to only take to-go orders past 8:30. This business does not care about their customers and I will not be back. In the end, we went across the street to Da Won and had an amazing meal with many other patrons. Da Won treated us with smiles and a warm embrace. I would definitely recommend them instead. Plus the atmosphere is much better than a hole in the wall.
Don’t waste your time. I have never been more displeased. Walked in to an almost empty restaurant (1 table eating). No greeting from anyone. Watched two folks come in, place to go, get their food and all the while the server just stood there and stared at us like we were going to help ourselves or something. Sorely disappointed. WILL NEVER BE BACK.
Sushi is ok. It was good, but it was catered for american tastes. If you want authentic sushi, go to blue fish for the higher price. It was amazing for the price, though. i think if you dont like sushi and you’re american you should try it. And the best part is it cost the same as sonic or something.
Simply delicious! All of the sushi tastes fresh and the price is unbeatable. Sushi Town may not have the largest variety of rolls, but whatever you decide on will be good. Do not let its unassuming exterior fool you, Sushi Town is the best in Plano hands down!
Hole in the Wall. It’s pretty unassuming, very casual, but some of the best sushi that I’ve had in this area so far. You order and pay at the counter, the service and preparation is quick, and the rolls are fresh and delicious. They have great specials; 3 rolls for $10, 2 rolls for $8, and they are open to making substitutions (soy paper for seaweed) upon request.
I love this place. Best sushi I’ve ever had. It could give all those high end sushi places a run for their money.
AMAZING sushi! and great customer service. I’m a really picky eater and have to have sushi exactly the way I want it and they did just that! PLUS who could hate the price for 10.81 this place is so worth the trip!!!
