What a great little fast food place. I was very impressed with the friendly service and the food. The refried beans were really good but nothing held a candle to the homemade salsa. Very, very good. Especially for fast food. Even better salsa than most dinner style restaurants. Kudos Taco Delite, kudos.
Pleasantly Surprised. I was pleasantly surprised at now nice this fast food taco place looks. The pebble gravel and metal palm trees outside make a nice first impression. Inside the stark red on checker is eye catching. The etched metal is a nice finishing touch to match the palm trees outside.The Delite Taco was really good for fast food. It’s a tortilla with beans spread flat and wrapped around a crispy taco. Usually the taco ends up being soggy, but it was not here. The burrito was just okay. I like the meat, beans and cheese, but the tortilla was not fully cooked. I’d like to have seen it spend a little more time on the griddle to add a bit of brown and burnt air bubble spots.Still, this was a pleasant surprise. I would stop by when I need fast food and want a decent taco.
I just don’t get it.. I’d rather go to Taco Bueno than eat here. I’ve been in Plano for more than 30 years, and Taco Delite has a cult following that I just don’t understand. Cheese Whiz is not my idea of cheese… But, it’s on everything here. Sure, it’s cheap, but that’s not really much of a recommendation when the food is very low quality. There are so many good taco places in Plano now there’s just no reason to eat here. When I first moved to Plano, Taco Delite was about the only one, I guess folks just love nostalgia……
Great small mom n pop micro chain
This little place is 1 of the Cleaniest,& Nicest fast food Mexican restaurants we have ever been too! We have only been in the Plano/Dallas area 4 about 1yr & have tried MANY Mexican places with many failed attempts @ finding a good 1! Taco Delite has Fresh Homeade Salsa that is the Best! Staff make u feel rt at hm & wk very hard at cleanliness!!! Top Ranks to the owner!
