Great place. First time there, I had the lengua tacos. The service was good and friendly, prices were good. No beer was a downer. They do have a great menu. Most of the customers ar hispanic, since I am a gringo I had to do a lot of pointing on the menu, but it worked.I wish they served breakfast.
This is our favorite restaurant in DFW. We come for tacos about every two weeks and it is always great! The staff is friendly as well. I haven’t tried the rest of the menu because the tacos are so amazing but I plan to soon.
Yummy!. Just had the BEST Mexican dinner and ran home to tell you about it. This place is located in a small strip mall with other Hispanic stores and restaurants. Don’t let the location deter you and do not confuse Taqueria El Torito with Taco Rico which occupies the opposite end of the same building. We were the only Anglos in the place. The staff barely spoke English but were attentive and friendly. We were served chips and given 3 types of salsa and they were warm not cold like Tex-Mex. Two were red and one green. The first salsa was smokey and spicy, the other sweet with medium heat and the green one was mild. There is nothing I can compare it to but 2 of the 3 were good. I ordered cheese enchiladas and a barbacoa taco. The barbacoa was tender and seasoned perfectly. The enchiladas had the perfect ratio of filling to tortilla topped with a brown sauce. It was served with guacamole, rice, refried beans and chopped tomato, cilantro and onion. Yum. My husband had a whole fried catfish and his meal was served with rice, beans, french fries, and warmed tortillas. The fish was fried golden and was very flavorful. The rice and beans were average but the main entrees were above average. I am definitely going back for more. The above review was cut/pasted from the one I wrote on another site. Nothing has changed. I’m just lazy. This place is great.
