I had the catfish and spicy fries, with a side of shrimp. Everything was great other than it needed some salt on the fries and I looked everywhere for some, but I guess there isn’t a big need for salt at this place. The guy that runs the place was very nice when I was placing my order and even searched me out (I guess I would be hard to miss with all the tattoos and hair!) to see how I liked everything. I will be going back, I will take the wife, even though seafood and swimmers in general are not her thing. There are 6 other restaurants in the same little open space I’m sure she can find something.

Simply the best crawfish around. The place is located at the food court to the right of the Asia Market. Don’t be fooled it might be tiny and just a small corner but OMG THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. Eating there is simply a joy. its Byob and you can sit anywhere. This last time I went I called and placed an order to go. My husband and I felt like watching movies and bringing our meal home. The call was pleasant as ever, we ordered the combo #4 that comes with two lbs crawfish and one lbs of shrimp, two corn two potatoes and two sausage. We also added an additional 1bs of crawfish a shrimp basket with cajun fries and one more side of sweet potato fries. Extra spicy. Everything was perfectly hot when we got it home. The fries were perfect as always, the shrimp basket had huge delicious shrimp. The bag had all 4 pounds of crustaceans and was super duper spicy, thats how we like it. The flavors they add to the shrimp and crawfish is so much better than anything out there. The food is fresh and the crawfish and shrimp are HUGE. You are getting quality here. We use to go to Cajun Corner in Arlington also known as Joe’s Corner when we lived there. But since we moved up north we had been looking for a place with the same quality. I have to say this place exceeds what i was looking for.Price for all was about $51…..i pay more for less sushi around here so its greatI am not asian and sometimes its hard to walk into a place that isn’t exactly a norm for you. Not to worry, they speak english just fine and everyone there is extremely friendly.they have mild and medium spicy if you can’t handle the heat, be warned extra spicy will make you cry and nose runny. Thats just how i like it.They don’t deliver but its worth the pick up.

AWESOME PLACE. We wanted seafood and didn’t want to rely on Joe’s Crab Shack… Followed the advice of the reviews here and we were blown away!!!WHAT A GREAT PLACE… DON’T Let the fact Tasty Tails is in an Asian Market Food Court dissuade you…We had Shrimp, the Red King Crab and the Colossal Crab which were all outstanding. We will be back!

Holy gator tail, this place is amazing. I ordered a pound of blue crab in spicy sauce and a piece of corn. My friend ordered the catfish platter and a bowl for us to share. The owner even threw in a couple of crawfish for me to try.The crab… Succulent. Fatty. Supremely fresh, sourced from Louisiana. The sauce was fiery and addictive. I kept dipping the catfish in the sauce. I was covered in the sauce after demolishing it, and kept licking my fingers and wishing I had bread to sop up the rest. The crawfish were also tasty enough that I’ll definitely order them next time. But you could cover an old tire in that sauce and it would be amazing. The catfish was meaty, clean-tasting and some of the best I’ve had. It’s sourced from Mississippi. The Cajun fries has been sitting a while, but even so they were super tasty. But. Holy crap. The gumbo. I’m frequently disappointed by so-called gumbo. I’ve never had gumbo in dfw that lived up to the name. Ever. (Apart from my gumbo) Until now. This was some pretty damn good gumbo. I only got three bites of it, because my friend demolished the rest while I was busy with the crab.Yes, it’s a Vietnamese Cajun place. But it’s not a chain, and the owner genuinely wants you to have the best he can make. And he fulfills that promise beautifully.
