Happy Happy Happy. We ate in the Lighthouse Pub side of the restaurant … food, service, and atmosphere was all great … planning our second visit this Friday. We showed up Friday for the entertainment … fantastic and a lot of fun. Average age of crowd about 70 … but it was very fun!!
Just Good Enough. We were there on a Sunday afternoon during a wet, cold weekend. This place was just good enough to lift our spirits. Food, service, ambience and price were all run-of-the-mill. Two and a half chili peppers out of five, across the board.
Wonderful!! If you’re in the South Padre/Port Isabel area and craving Italian food, eat here! The only complaint I have, and this is me being quite picky, is the background music. I don’t think Sirius XM Love is the best music to be playing in an Italian restaurant but whatever. That doesn’t matter.
Great food, atmosphere & service!. My girlfriend & I love Italian & we had a great meal here! It was crowded at the Itallian places on SPI so we drove to Port Isabel. The food was very good and we enjoyed the atmosphere. The service was quick & the staff was friendly. We look forward to our next visit.
HORRIBLE. The pasta was overcooked. It was nowhere near al dente. Also, the tomato sauce was clearly from a can and just dumped on top of the bland spaghetti. I got hearburn from the preservatives and low quality of the food. I originally ordered a pesto pasta and the basil was old. It had a funky, rotten after taste. I asked the waiter how old the pesto was. She inisted that they pick it fresh from the garden and make it daily. There is no garden to be found anywhere. I make basil pesto at my house weekly and this was not fresh. I didn’t want to be rude to my friend so I asked her if a could just get a small child’s pasta so that I could eat something and not just watch. She said okay. When she gave me my bill, I noticed a 10% discount on my original meal. She charged me $10 for a $4 child’s plate. I confronted her and she said that the cooks served me a little more because I’m not 8 years old. Couldn’t you have told me that you were going to charge me an adults price on child portion before bringing it to me? Horrible wait with very few people. Horrible service. Horrible quality. Horrible customer service. DO NOT EAT HERE. YOU WILL REGRET IT!
Okay. I went there for the all you can eat fish and shrimp. The food was nothing special. The waiter was attentive and the place was clean.
OK food. Decent food – pizza was good. Service was slow during middle of the afternoon when it wasn’t busy. Kids enjoyed the kid’s menu. Right across from the lighthouse so go have a look after your meal.
