This place is better than the reviews indicate. Reviews on Yelp are more in line with my experience. Love the stuffed crab and the corn fritters, as well as the sweet and sour chicken (wonderful batter) and all the nice sauces.
I WILL RETURN. The General Tso’s chicken is so amazing. Its like the best chicken I’ve had in my whole life. I’ll definitely go back again. The waitress Linda is so sexy. You’ll give her tips every single time. TIPS TIPS TIPS!
Update: I suppose an awful lot can happen in a few months… or maybe it was the timing. Whatever the case may be, the food was beyond bad this time.13 Jan, 2013I had wanted to try this place for a veey long time. We tried it about 3 months ago for lunch. Everything was good and fresh. The service was good as well. We will return!
Terrible. We ended up walking out and we are calling the health dept. The cold food was not to temperature and tasted like it had been out all day. Lo mien noodles were mushy. Couldn’t even bring ourselves to eat anything else. Even the water was terrible, and it was the glasses it was served in, not the water.
We eat here often and the place has never been dirty. It’s a buffet so slow service is your own fault. Ha! The seafood is good as are the desserts. The Chinese dishes are fair to good and they also have American style selections such as pizza and a really great salad and fresh fruit bar. Overall, a great restaurant for a town as small as Port Lavaca.
Another waste of time and money this place is worst then china b in victoria! Stale dry food weak tea tasted like dish water! Service was bad place was dirty will never eat here again!
Food was not very fresh, and the staff is not very attentive.
