Great Mexican Restaurant, Princeton TX. This is the best Mexican restaurant in Princeton and for many miles around. We’ve been eating there, once or twice a week since we ventured in a couple of months ago. The food is so fresh tasting and has a quality far above the average tex-mex that we’ve enjoyed until we found this place. It’s small and unassuming on the outside, but the food has been consistently great every time we’ve visited. Small, family run business. Freshest tasting guacamole, chips, delicious salsa, love the pulled pork street taco’s with fresh cilantro and chopped onion on double corn tortillas. Yum! It is so good and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend. You can order ala carte or with sides, so there is no waste and less expense when you want a smaller portion. (Most places only allow kids or seniors that privilege) The outside is not fancy, but it is clean and consistently very good Mexican food.
We tried this place once. Had horrible tacos. They actually served us tacos with meat that clearly had sat in the warmer all day. Kind of like leaving your leftover taco meat on your stove top all day then reheating it. It was terrible. Because of this, we will never try again. If I were the owner, I would never serve old dry food to my customers. I would rather give my customers fresh food. Too bad, because we love Mexican food and now this is not even an option.
Ii used to love this place but like many new restaurants the passion-and attention to the details of fresh good tasting food-soon wanes. i went there this past weekend and it was taco bell quality. the owners were not there and they have hired unattentive staff that view my dinner as just a job to be done. i realize that it is a just a job but there are too many other places that serve average food and i don’t have to drive all the way to princeton.
