I was very excited when I arrived because it smelled so good. The bread and dipping sauce also arrived and I was thinking this was really gonna be good. The waitress took our drink orders and brought me a glass of ice and a can of Diet Coke. I hate when that happens because then refills are not free. My friend ordered lemonade and she said it was hot. Not warm, hot! I got a Cesear salad and Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. My friend ordered shrimp Aboca. My salad arrived dry with no dressing. The fettuccine arrived and was pretty good. My friends Shrimp Aboca arrived and she said it was overwhelmingly lemony. She ask for a drink refill on her lemonade and the sever brought it and it was again hot. We ask why and she said it was a powder and they mixed it by the glass. This wouldn’t be bad really but we ended up spending over $25 each. Not worth the money
Aboca’s is my go-to Italian restaurant. We’ve been coming here for years and we are continually pleased. Nightly specials add great variety to the menu, however I never tire of my favorite entree, the Agli Olio pasta dish. The meat lovers pizza is also excellent. The bread brought before the meal is always fresh and warm, served with a flavorful garlic-olive oil sauce. What I love most about Aboca is its quaint atmosphere and friendly service. Most all of the waiters remember us each time we dine, which makes us want to continue to support this local gem.
Good Food, Good Staff, Great Experience. This place had been on my list for a while but only recently did I have the opportunity to eat here. It was pretty crowded when I went and although there was a family with some very overexcited children (this place was surprisingly kid-friendly for what I expected), that did not detract from my experience. It is BYOB, so our group brought a bottle of wine with us and it was clear we weren’t a minority. The waiter was attentive and the food was delicious. Overall, I enjoyed my experience here.
Best Italian food around! Nice and clean place with friendly welcoming staff!!
Wait staff is horrible!!! Waited 20 minutes and had to ask for service. We visit Dallas 2-3 times a month and are always looking for Italian food; definitely will not return. Food is marginal.
It was delicious!!! We were a group of 5 and the waiter was so fast and attentive to all our needs including multiple water refills. I highly recommend the sampler app platter, chicken parm and shrimp aboca pasta.
Aboca’s Richardson Has Gone Downhill. It’s a shame. They use to be a great little neighborhood restaurant. Their food is poor – at every level. Their service is shabby (except for the hostess) and the owner is not interested in hearing any feedback. His arrogance and attitude set the tone for the place. Don’t waste your time or money. There are too many other good restaurants worthy of both.
