Good Thai. The peanut sauce here is great, I always end up getting extra items like tofu and salad and spooning leftover peanut sauce over it from the peanut chicken dish. They are vegan friendly and offer lots of vegetarian dishes. I found the bamboo salad to be a bit too heavily salted and very bamboo-ey. They have a few sticky rice desserts on offer, also vegan!
Going down hill fast. Have gone there many times in the last year and the service which was marginal has gotten worse. Disrespectful staff which the owner supports not caring if you ever come back.. The portions have progressively gotten smaller and their small pours of wine are ridiculous. We along with many of our friends will spend our discretionary dollars elsewhere–they do no understand that concept.
Awesome local, family-owned restaurant! Fresh, authentic ingredients to make these northeastern Thai dishes sing with flavor! A must-try!!!
Our new favorite. The Tom Kha Gai soup is the best I’ve ever had.
I have been going to Bambu since its opening, as I work and live directly near it. It has been an adventure for the owners in going from a very popular Sushi bar called night fish that they sold, to a family Thai restaurant. It took them quite some time to get everything down, but as of April 2012, they have a 4 star rating from the Dallas Morning News and a best Thai of Dallas rating from the Dallas observer. They have a lovely selection of wine and liqueurs, and have some if the friendliest wait staff I have ever meet. Definitely should give this location a try.
Amazing!!!. I am not very adventurous when it come to Thai food and so the first time I went I had the pad Thai and it was very good. So the next time I went I asked what the most popular dish was and they said it was the Crying Tiger Beef, a dish that consists of thin sliced beef, sticky rice and a sauce that is like crack. I cannot explain in words how good this dish is. You just have the try it. The people are wonderful and the service is great. I wish that they were still BYOB but other than that, the only negative is that you might have to wait for a seat.
Good…. Lovely decor, friendly service. I ordered the lobster red curry special from the board, which was really good, but the 6 bites of lobster meat was hardly worth the 18 dollar price point. Just a thought. diningwithdeliajo.com
