Meh!Huge menu of all.American favorites: ordered the sour cabbage with beef and a bowl of pork/dumpling soup. The cabbage/beef was boring: sweet note, muddy flavor, got bored eating it after the first plate.Soup was a little better: boring broth with good pork and dumplings. There are better offerings in this same strip mall.
Adequate Cantonese/Vietnamese Chinese restaurant in Chi-town plaza in Richardson. Expect friendly service, tasty food, in an adequate setting.SIGHT: No frills in the dcor, place setting or ambiance.SOUND: Packed on Sunday evening with the phone ringing constantly for carryout orders.TOUCH: Clean- enoughTASTE:Chinese Style Wonton soup- Enough to serve 4 as a starter. Plump, juicy homemade wonton, Chinese greens, in a satisfying broth. American style wonton only comes with fried wonton strips.. so I recommend the Chinese version. The homemade hot chili oil drizzled on top made this delicious!Pork Pan Fried Rice Flat noodle N13- You can order dry or with gravy. Gravy refers to how saucy you want it. I prefer mine drier and Cantons version was delicious. Garlic, ginger, with tasty chunks of pork make this the best Chinese comfort food.Shrimp with Cheese- This was called out under the Authentic Chinese dishes. I have been to HK/China several times and never heard of it Basically, its deep fried plump shrimp that is coated in grated parmesan cheese. The whole dish is delicious but maybe better with a side of marinara and glass of Chianti. Apparently, this and their cheese lobster is one of their most popular dishes. Overall good to try, wont be a repeat in my book.Complimentary Cabbage Slaw- Marinated cabbage…mix of white vinegar and sugar. Crunchy, tasty but a bit overly sweet. whiskandtell.com
