Very Good!. Wish I lived closer so I could go more often. Especially like the charcoal beef with rice paper, rice noodle and all the fresh, raw vegetables. If you are going on a Saturday night, call first. Sometimes they close to the public for private weddings.

Service for white folks kinda sluggish…but food is good
Let me start by saying I’m married to a wonderful Vietnamese woman. My brother-in-law plays drums for a wedding band and knows the ins and outs of practically all Asian restaurants in the Dallas area. When we go out to eat, Caravelle is one of our favorites and at the top of his list. The Peking duck is good although those wonderful buns can be a bit undersized for all the meat and cabbage I greedily stuff within. A real hit that the family battles for would be the fried tofu with green beans–I hope your family isn’t too violent if you order that treat! The tofu develops a cripsy outer crust and a somewhat creamy core and is coated with a delictable sweet sauce that is sure to cause family turmoil over the limited resources. Let the strong survive! Another equally matched dish is the beef with the snow pea leaves–it’s one of those rare dishes that can make just about any meatatarian eat something green because of it’s wonderfully savory and sweet sauce. We’ve tried many other dishes and I can’t remember ever being disappointed, so don’t be scared to sample their large menu! Now, the service isn’t the best in the world, and the weekend crowd is thick making it harder on the wait staff. However, unless the service is outright malignant I’m willing to look beyond it and judge based soley on the food. Learning Vietnamese would certainly help in this regard!
Terrible unattentive service. Very mediocre food. One of our dishes came out 45 min to an hour after everything else when we were waiting for the bill.
